PortlandSideways.com is about getting off the beaten track, and finding new friends. We focus on dining, Portland Zydeco music, Zydeco dancing, outdoor activities and those other fun things we have yet to discover.

Generally, what we do is reasonably priced and something that anyone can do. We report on activities and places that we have experienced and enjoyed. We are not about extreme sports, expensive concerts and shows, or fine dining establishments.

The site has a general focus on Portland, Oregon area, however, we may choose to go SIDEWAYS a bit farther and share some great things we have done in other locales.

By taking a different slant, perhaps even fully SIDEWAYS, we find interesting people and activities.

Sharing our finds may encourage you to also move a little SIDEWAYS and discover whole new points of view. We hope to include the endeavors of other SIDEWAYS explorers as the site develops.

Who are "we"? We are two married couples. Three of us are retired (yeah!).
